Welcome to the Westbury Irish Festival!! - Saturday the 11th March 2017
Come along, join in the fun and most of all, "Get Your Green On!"
Traditional family fun at its very best, the Westbury Irish Festival celebrates all things Irish with a day packed with fun, laughter, music and activities for all.
We welcome this year's guest performer - Marcia Howard, she was a contestant on The Voice in 2016 and she played in the band Goanna in the 1980s. Come and see this wonderful performer of Irish-Australian heritage singing some traditional Irish music and her own written works. Her album will be available to purchase at the Festival.
Matt Garwood - The Tattooed Tenor will be performing. Matt is a well-known performer around Tasmania and adored by many! He is known for his musical theatre performances - his most recent being "Buddy" in the "Buddy Holly Story". Matt also appeared on The Voice and has wowed Tasmanians with his performances.
There will also be a variety of bands, singers and musicians who will provide entertainment all day long, we feature the Westbury Primary School doing traditional Maypole dancing, and local live dance acts.
We also feature train rides, a jumping castle, old time games for all to do, these are provided free to our patrons so that we can keep all the kids (big and small) entertained for ages!
There are many interesting displays, plus market stalls, different food and drink catering stalls to keep everyone happy.
A Gaelic Football match to watch, this will be the first Gaelic vs Meander Valley Suns match that we are hoping to make an annual event. The footballers will be doing displays to show everyone how to play.
